Audrey - 6 months

Audrey,

You are 6 months old today - a whole half a year!! I say this every single month, but I just cannot believe how fast the time is flying by!

This month you had cereal for the first time. You loved it and have also tried banana, avocado, sweet potato, carrot, strawberry and pear! You pretty much seem to love everything we give you and we just can't get it in your mouth fast enough for you!

You're sitting up on your own now. Not for long periods of time, but you are definitely leaps and bounds stronger each and every day.

You are also wiggling in every direction but forward! Momma has to keep a close eye on you now because even though you aren't technically crawling, you're definitely mobile. You do get up on your hands and knees and rock back and forth like you're going to throw yourself forward, but then you basically belly flop!

You have 2 teeth now! They're both in the middle on the bottom. You seem much less fussy than you had been, so I think that may be it for right now anyway.

Your personality is developing by the minute! 95% percent of the time, you are the happiest baby I have ever seen. When you're really tired or you're not feeling well, you are a Momma's girl through and through. You only want me, and I refuse to complain. I know that it won't be like this for long, so I'm soaking up every hug, kiss and cuddle that I can. You now have a distinct angry face and voice too. The voice is much lower than your regular babbling and Momma can't help but chuckle at you when you do it. You're just so darn cute, even when you're mad!

You absolutely love your feet, and despite the tons of toys you have, they are your favorite thing to play with!

You are a million rays of sunshine in my life, my sweet girl. You fill my heart with the purest joy. Every single night, I thank God for the miracle and blessing you are in my life.

As always, I look forward to the adventures that await us. You continue to teach me more about myself and life every day, and I'm so grateful God chose me to be your Mommy.

*Edit 7/7/11* You finally had your 6 month well visit today and you are 17 pounds 13.5 ounces, and 26 inches long. You are right on track based on your previous appointments. The doctor was impressed with how well you were sitting up on your own and babbling like a maniac. :)
