MIA
I know I've been missing in action lately. I have a lot going on and I'm trying to take care of myself. I actually started a very long post about what's been going on with me the last six months, but I'm not sure that I'm ready to share it yet. I tried writing a few other posts about mundane things going on, but they just felt fake. So I felt it was better not to write at all. Just wanted to pop in and say hi though! I'm still reading all my favorite blogs, even if I'm not commenting.

i ♥ faces {hands-on fun}
This week, i ♥ faces is all about hands instead of faces. If I'm being honest, I'm a "feet" girl more than a "hands" girl, but I do have a beautiful hands photo I'd love to share this week!
I took this photo when my cousin's daughter was being baptized and I just love the focus on the priest's hand, the water droplets and Natalie's tiny hand poking out from under her dad's arm.
Head on over to i ♥ faces and check out all the other hands entries this week!

i ♥ faces {i wanna dance!}
It's "I Wanna Dance!" week over at i ♥ faces. I actually have a lot of fun dance photos, so it was hard for me to pick just one for today! I just love their facial expressions, how they're in mid dance move, and the flip of her ponytail in this one though!

It will be worth it
Two nights ago, I was able to feel overwhelming happy for someone I don't know IRL, about something that I've been unable to be happy about, in recent months, for people I do know IRL. Cryptic with so few details, I know, but stick with me here. I was filled with overwhelming joy for this person. I felt no jealousy or sadness, anger or resentment, without any effort whatsoever.
Seems like I was a horrible person the last few months. lol But really, I was unable to control it as much as I didn't want to feel that way. I finally gave up my anxiety and control and fear, and said, "I trust You. Help me." And just days later, He showed me that His plan for me just might be the plan I had for myself.
This does not mean I think I'm in control again. I know He's in control. But if we allow ourselves to be quiet and really listen, He will tell us what He has planned for us.

I thought it was impossible and He said:
All things are possible. Luke 18:27
I was worried and frustrated and He said:
Cast all your cares on me. I Peter 5:7

Cheesy Sausage Dip
Yesterday, I told you about our mini super bowl party, how much fun we had laughing at the silly faces the drummer of The Who was making, and all the food we ate! Today, I'm going to share the recipe for the Cheesy Sausage Dip we had because it is so super simple and incredibly delicious!
Cheesy Sausage Dip
1 package Jimmy Dean Sausage
1 can Rotel tomatoes with chilies
1.5 (8 oz.) packages of cream cheese
Brown Sausage in pan and drain grease. Transfer meat to crock pot, then add Rotel and cream cheese on top. Turn crock pot on low, stirring a few times until cream cheese melts and all combines together. Turn crock pot to warm and serve with tortilla chips or pita chips. Enjoy!
It is literally almost zero work, only 3 ingredients and it tastes so so yummy! We were so busy talking, eating and laughing yesterday that I only got one mediocre picture of the dip, but trust me, this is a recipe you are definitely going to want to try!

Super Bowl Sunday
My best friend and her boyfriend came over last night to hang out and watch the Super Bowl. We played a couple games of Wii Bowling, talked, and just enjoyed each other's company.
We also ate more pork products than I think I've eaten in the last 2 years! Sausage dip, pepperoni bread, bacon wrapped keilbasha...
...oh my!
We also had carrots and guacamole. Have to have some vegetables!
(We won't think about the cheese dip we dipped the carrots in, or the chips we used for the guacamole!)
The game itself wasn't all that exciting for us Patriots fans. Some of commercials were good, but I think by far the most enjoyable part of the game for us was the half time show! Yeah, The Who were good and the light show was cool, but that's not what I'm talking about. The drummer, Zak Starkley (who happens to be the son of Beatles drummer Ringo Starr), kept making these crazy fish lips. April and I were snapping away at the television like paparazzi trying to capture this hilarious mannerism. (You can see her paparazzi shots here!) The boys were laughing at us as we clicked away in unison, and we were laughing hysterically at this man who clearly looked too young to be a part of the original band.
Overall, it was a really fun night and great to spend some time with 2 of our favorites!

Nesting Paper Cranes
For Christmas, my talented, creative, fabulous best friend made me this hanging set of nesting paper cranes. She LOVES folding paper cranes! They are so colorful and looked so pretty hanging in the window yesterday, that I finally snapped a photo to share with you.
Whenever I look at them, they remind me of her colorful spirit and her warm smile.

Wii
Okay, so I'm still in a funk. But some of my friends are apparently getting worried about me from my blog posts, so I'm going to try to be more positive and kick this funk to the curb!
For my birthday, my parents got me a Wii and my sister got me an extra controller and nunchuck so that the hubs and I can play together. Sunday when I got out of work, we got it all set up and played for an hour and a half!
We did boxing first which was definitely the best workout. It completely frustrated me though because I was punching like a maniac and my character on the screen was just standing there.
We tried tennis, but neither of us was really into that one, so the hubs wanted to do bowling. I'm not a fan of bowling, but I ended up beating him twice! :)
See! I won! :)
I'm hoping we actually use it often. It was a lot of fun and we were both sweating!
