I Heart Faces - Beautiful B&W

It has been a while since I participated in an I Heart Faces photo challenge, but with the AWESOME prizes they're offering and the B&W theme, I couldn't resist!

I took this photo of my very best friend just minutes before her wedding! She got married at the public library which was so incredibly cool and made for some interesting photo opportunities! The light was just streaming in the windows at this point and she was radiating joy and excitement! Photos with such beautiful natural light and raw emotion just beg to be B&W in my opinion!

This week, the i ♥ faces theme is "Dramatic Black & White." I love, LOVE, LOVE black & white photos!! Emotion and lighting become so much more prominent when you aren't distracted by color, and that is one of the reasons why I love this photo of my sister-in-law so much!

She is completely in her element and stunningly gorgeous!

i ♥ faces {hands-on fun}

This week, i ♥ faces is all about hands instead of faces. If I'm being honest, I'm a "feet" girl more than a "hands" girl, but I do have a beautiful hands photo I'd love to share this week!


I took this photo when my cousin's daughter was being baptized and I just love the focus on the priest's hand, the water droplets and Natalie's tiny hand poking out from under her dad's arm.

It's "I Wanna Dance!" week over at i ♥ faces. I actually have a lot of fun dance photos, so it was hard for me to pick just one for today! I just love their facial expressions, how they're in mid dance move, and the flip of her ponytail in this one though!

Next week, i ♥ faces is celebrating their first birthday and they're celebrating with an "i ♥ faces" photo challenge! Their logo has to be in the photo (naturally or via photo editing) along with a face, it's that simple!

It's been pretty darn cold here, so this entry is a little wishful thinking on my part...

And this one is may be a little wishful thinking on my hubby's part...

i ♥ faces {feet week}

It's "feet week" over at i ♥ faces this week! I love taking photos of baby feet, but I have a photo of my feet that I took on my honeymoon that I just LOVE, so I had to share!!

There's nothing like relaxing in a hammock after a day of swimming in the ocean and having your toes in the sand! *sigh* Wishing I was in Jamaica now...

I can't think of a darn thing for Not Me! Monday this week, and since I love sepia toned photos, I decided to enter I ♥ Faces' Sepia themed contest instead.

I took this photo of my niece, Athena, a few days after she was born and I just love it! The light from the window just lit up the cute little features of her face!

I ♥ Faces {Happy Birthday}

I know, I know, two posts in one day! But the kids theme over
at I ♥ Faces this week is "Happy Birthday" and I had the cutest photo, so I just had to share!

I took this photo of my cousin's daughter, Natalie, on her first birthday. Whenever I look at it, I can't help but smile and I really want to put a thought bubble above her head that says, "Why on earth would they set my cupcake on fire?!? And what the heck are these crazy people singing?!?" LOL
