Not Me! Monday

It's Monday again, and I'm happy to announce that the blog carnival that is Not Me! Monday is back in full swing now that MckMama and her youngest son, Stellan, are back at home with the rest of their family! And now on to the show...

I was not a little bit distraught that I missed MckMama's first week back to Not Me! Monday last week. I'm perfectly capable of lasting a few days without tv or internet and not going crazy!

Speaking of crazy, I did not go a little crazy in all the chaos of packing and moving. I do not have a small case of OCD, and have a strong need to have everything in it's designated place. And I certainly did not only eat a half a bagel all day on moving day because of my tunnel vision! Nope, not me! I am in much more control of myself than that!

And speaking of control, I most certainly did not drop the F-bomb in front of my grandparents, in a moment of frustration during the move. That would be completely out of control and disrespectful!

But back to my tunnel vision, there is definitely not photographic proof that by Tuesday I had just about everything unpacked, put away, set up and decorated! Nope, definitely not! As a result, I did not have several requests to help people move, should they ever need to! hahaha Maybe I should drop this whole job search and photography school thing, and just start a moving company!

Anway, despite being rainy and miserable most of last week, I did not take a few really awesome photographs! I have not been mostly taking photos of flowers lately because they are so beautiful, and I did not post one of them in my Mother's Day post yesterday!

And speaking of my Mother's Day post, I certainly did not cry like a little girl while writing it. I have never been known to be that emotional.

Well, that's all I can really think of this week! Somehow I caught a stomach bug and I haven't been feeling well the last two days, not to mention the past two weeks have been a complete whirlwind, so I'm sure there are plenty of other things I didn't do, but that's all I can remember right now!

Not Me! Monday

It's Monday again, and I know you know what that means! It's time to confess all the things we haven't done this week! Since I last did a Not Me! Monday, MckMama's youngest son, Stellan, was transferred here, to Boston Children's Hospital! He has had his ups and downs, but things are looking really positive for him to be discharged on oral medications soon! For the latest on Stellan, you can head over to MckMama's blog.

Now on to the show...

I did not skip Not Me! Monday last week because I was feeling a little down. I am always way too positive to let something like that happen!

And despite the fact that we're moving in 5 days, I did not avoid packing all last week! Nope, not me! I am not a procrastinator! And I certainly do not hate having my life in such disorder all around me.

The religious Saturday morning grocery shopper that I am, I would never go grocery shopping on a Friday so I had as much time as possible outside in the BEAUTIFUL weather Saturday and Sunday! I do not love sunshine!

Saturday, I did not have to re-open one of the few boxes that is packed for the move to find some sunscreen. Since we don't have a backyard here (really we don't), I did not set up a lawn chair in my hubby's parking space, after he left for work, so I could sit outside and bask in the wonderful sunshine! That would just be silly!

Yesterday, it was not almost 90 degrees here!! I did not decide around 1:30 pm, at the hottest point of the day, that I was going to go for a little walk around town on a mini photo shoot. That would just be crazy! I did not end up drenched in sweat and absolutely exhausted as a result. And I absolutely did not get a few great photos that I'm really happy with!

Sorry for the copyrights! As I get further into my photography classes, I realize it's important to protect my images, just in case I ever decide to do this for a living. Anyway, hope you enjoyed my sweaty photos from yesterday!

Not Me! Monday

It's Monday again, and I know you know what that means! It's time to confess all the things we haven't done this week! MckMama's youngest son, Stellan, is still in the hospital, but he seems to be doing better! He was even moved out of the PICU! He's not out of the woods yet though, and there's a possibility that he still might have to come to Boston for surgery, but things are starting to look up for this adorable little boy. MckMama is, understandably, not feeling up to posting a Not Me! Monday this week, but you can head over to her blog to read about how little Stellan is doing.

As for me...

It did not make me sad that my hubby had to work yesterday, and we couldn't go home to be with our family for Easter. I did not want to see my cousin's kids running around in my grandparents' yard looking for Easter eggs, in their cute little Easter outfits, like we used to. As a result, I did not eat so much chocolate to try and cheer myself up, and since my Lenten chocolate fast was over, that I gave myself a stomach ache!


In another attempt to make myself feel better, I did not make a huge Easter dinner for just me and my hubby!

I definitely did not get out the cloth napkins and napkin rings to make it a little fancier either!


Without knowing it, my sister and I did not both make banana pudding Saturday night, in preparation for our Easter dinners with our hubbies! We are not two of a kind! I most certainly do not miss her like crazy. And I did not say a prayer for the inventor of Skype yesterday because I was so happy to see her face!


Finally, I do not love my tripod and how it allows us to capture memories without the dreaded arm-stretch-super-close-up shot!

Not Me! Monday

Well, it's Not Me! Monday again! MckMama's son, Stellan, is still in the hospital. His health has certainly been a roller coaster ride for this family, but they seem to be making some steps in the right direction by getting a 2nd opinion. I don't know if she'll post a Not Me! Monday this week or not, but you can head over to her blog to read about how little Stellan is doing.

As for me, I did not decide that we are going to move again. Nope, not me! Not after moving in August 2005, December 2006, March 2007, and March 2008! I would have to be crazy to do that, especially if it was only half a mile down the road.

And, hypothetically, if I had decided to move again, when my current landlord showed up with no notice, knocked on our door, and asked to show the place to someone (who was standing right there with him) I wouldn't actually let him in. I would not let him make me feel guilty and like I couldn't ask him to come back later, seeing as our bed was not unmade, there was not a pile of dishes in the sink, and my dirty, sweaty gym clothes were not hanging off my dresser drying. That would just be embarrassing!

And last night, I did not sit on the couch salivating while watching Iron Chef America, secret ingredient: chocolate! I definitely didn't dream about chocolate Saturday night either. Giving up chocolate for lent has been a piece of cake for me!! mmmmm...chocolate cake....

Seems that I have actually been semi-normal this past week, and don't have much to confess to not doing! :) What did you not do this week?

As you can see, I finally took my picture for Stellan's Name Gallery. The pictures being taken all over the world are just amazing to look at. There are so many people praying for this precious little boy and, thankfully, he seems to be having a much better day today! Not Me! Monday

Welcome back to Not Me! Monday! MckMama's precious little boy, Stellan, is still in the hospital and unfortunately not doing well, but I thought I'd honor her crazy little blog carnival by still posting my Not Me! Monday. I don't know if she'll post a Not Me! Monday or not, but you can head over to her blog to read about how little Stellan is doing. If you believe in the power of prayer, please say a prayer for this little boy, his family, and the doctors and nurses that are caring for him. *Edit* Apparently, The Cline Family is hosting a special edition of Not Me! Monday. Mine was already written before I found out about it, but I have not been doing all the things everyone else has not been doing too.

Stellan has been on my mind quite a bit, so I don't have a long Not Me! post this week. But what I do have for you definitely takes the cake! I mean...if I had actually done it, that is!

Last Tuesday night, I did not watch the Discovery Health show "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant," despite thinking that it was probably a bad idea. I absolutely was not up most of the night because of it and the other half of the night I was not dreaming that I was pregnant. Wednesday morning, I was not so completely freaked out that I actually took a pregnancy test, despite the fact that I was about 99% sure there was no way I could be pregnant. Nope, not me!!Definitely wouldn't take a picture of the test and post it on the internet for the whole world to see either! (And Not Me'ing aside, PLEASE, let's not start any rumors! As you can see from the test, I'm clearly not pregnant! I don't want any awkward phone calls from my mother!) My hubby does not think I am out-of-my-mind crazy!!

Today is not the 26th birthday of my very best friend in the entire world either! You most certainly should not head over to her blog to wish her a very happy birthday! :)

And last, but certainly not least, I did not post my very first GIVEAWAY yesterday! And I am definitely not BURSTING with excitement! You should not check it out because it would be a big waste of time and totally wouldn't be worth it! ;)

*UPDATE* I scheduled this last night to post this morning. Since then, MckMama has had to take her youngest son to the hospital. I'm assuming that she probably won't have a Not Me! Monday post this week, but their little boy is very sick. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.

You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week. I promise, they're hilarious and you won't regret it. In fact, you may find yourself sitting at the computer most of the day today...I mean, not that I have ever actually done that, but it could happen!

Anyway, Tuesday, I actually went golfing with my hubby for the first time on a real golf course! Despite doing really well for the most part, I absolutely did not do this crazy thing with my foot because I was swinging so hard. And there is no way there is photographic proof of said crazy foot move!

And definitely not from 2 different angles!!

I most certainly did not squeal like a little girl when I got my first email from a new reader last week!! And being the completely unemotional person that I am, I didn't shed a few tears writing the story of how my husband and I started dating. And I absolutely did not laugh hysterically at the picture I found of us from Prom our sophomore year in high school! Nope, not me!!

My hubby and I definitely haven't been sleeping on just a mattress on the floor for almost 2 years now. And we totally didn't go to 4 different furniture stores last week trying to find a new bedroom set and still weren't able to find something I we like. We're much more decisive than that!

Finally, I don't have my very first GIVEAWAY in the works for my blog! I'm not completely and utterly excited about it either. And if I did have a GIVEAWAY coming up, you definitely shouldn't check back this week to get in on it because it definitely won't be worth it! *wink* *wink*

"Not Me!" Monday

Welcome back to "Not Me!" Monday! where MckMama, and anyone else who wants to participate, can be brutally honest and live to tell about it. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week. But only after you've read what I haven't been up to, of course! ;)

After my first "Not Me!" Monday, I did not miss two in a row while I was helping my sister move. I am much more dedicated to my blog than that!! And despite my clear dedication to my blog, I did not steal, ummm, I mean borrow the internet signal from my sister's new neighbors, while we were waiting for hers to get hooked up, so I could keep up with all of my favorite blogs to read. That would just be wrong!!

And after spending two weeks with my family, I was definitely not totally relieved to have peace and quiet when we got home, and to sit and relax, just me and my hubby. I actually do love my family [for real I do] and they would never start to drive me up an 'effin wall! crazy after two weeks!!

Being the good Catholic that I am, I gave up chocolate for Lent and I am not desperate for just a tiny little piece of dark chocolate.

And I absolutely would not have to hide the two boxes of Girl Scout cookies (with chocolate on them) that I bought, in the back of the freezer where they're hard to get at. I have much more will power than that and can totally resist temptation without doing such a silly thing!

And if I did do such a thing, part of my reasoning would not be so that my hubby doesn't find out that I bought them and eat them all before Easter!

In addition, I most definitely have not been a complete lazy bum this past week. And knowing everything I do about nutrition, there's no way that I would skip breakfast every single day this past week and not eat a single thing until after noon because of the aforementioned laziness. I also didn't split my favorite photos from Washington D.C. into 5 different posts (family, flags, monuments, memorials & buildings, Arlington Cemetery and details) and post them all on Monday so I wouldn't have to post all week!
Finally, I certainly wouldn't justify buying a cute new pair of black, peep-toe heels at just the possibility of a job interview this week!

Nope, not me!!

Phewww...I feel better now! Can you be brutally honest and live to tell about it too?

"Not me!" Monday

Welcome to "Not Me!" Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

My Charming Kids is one of my new favorite blogs! Every Monday, MckMama posts some somewhat embarrassing things that she did in the last week, but she pretends not to have done them to lessen the blow! She then invites all her readers to do it as well, as a little therapy session. I've been reading her blog for weeks now, but this is the first week I decided to participate! So here we go...

Last Monday, I did not give in to my hubby and bake a sour cream coffee cake for breakfast because we're trying so hard to eat healthy and I wouldn't want to screw that up. If I had, there's no way I would give my hubby a hard time for asking for a second HUGE piece, and I certainly wouldn't actually give it to him. And, if I had given him a hard time about it because we're trying to eat healthy, I definitely wouldn't proceed to have a piece for breakfast, lunch, and dessert after dinner! Three pieces in one day, Not me!

And since there are only two of us, said coffee cake certainly would not be half gone by Tuesday morning!

After buying my hubby a new leather recliner that I knew he would love, I most definitely wasn't jealous of a chair because he wasn't cuddling with me on the couch at night anymore. And I would never, in a moment of weakness and sensitivity, pout about it and tell him that he loved a chair more than me. Not me! I am much more secure in our relationship than that!

The rest of the week, I did not sneak Sweet 'N Low into my hubby's tea instead of sugar, in an attempt to curb his sugar consumption after all that hypothetical coffee cake he ate. I would never be that deceptive to my own husband!

Also, being the perfect housewife that I am, I absolutely did not let the dirty laundry pile up for 2 weeks knowing that we were coming home to my parents' house yesterday and we could do it all here, for free.


Not me!! I would never do these things!
